‘Wimbledon U-14 Champion’ Cho Se-hyeok, IMG Academy training…”I will make my forehand stronger”

 “I will make my strong serve and forehand even more powerful weapons.”

On the 22nd, prospective tennis player Se-hyeok Cho (15, Namwon Sports Club) expressed his aspirations as he left for three years of training at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, USA.

The Korea Tennis Association 먹튀검증(Chairman Jeong Hee-kyun) previously selected Se-Hyeok Cho as the ‘No. 2 Scholarship Student’ of IMG Academy and decided to support 100 million won in tour expenses through a separate corporation, the Korea Junior Tennis Player Training Support Association. Chairman Jeong Hee-kyun encouraged Cho Se-hyeok at the association’s office with a ceremony to support tour expenses.

Sehyuk Cho said, “I am excited and excited to train at IMG Academy for three years. I worked out for a while at IMG Academy during the Eddie Herr and Orange Ball competitions last year, and the program was very good,” he expressed his anticipation.

Jo Se-hyeok started to attract attention by becoming the newly established 14-year-old men’s singles champion at the 2022 Wimbledon held in July last year. He dropped out of middle school to focus on tennis. He also won the Eddy Her International Junior Tennis Tournament 14th Singles. Recently, he was selected for the first time as a candidate for the national tennis team and completed winter camp training. He is ranked 186th in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) junior men’s singles rankings.

Se-Hyuk Cho said, “I learned to serve from his older brothers, and I gained confidence in my forehand,” and said, “My goal this year is to raise my ranking to the top 90-100 and participate in the US Open Junior Division qualifier.”

After signing a junior training agreement with IMG Academy in 2021, the Korea Tennis Association decided on Noh Ho-young (17, Osan GS) as the first dispatched scholarship student to IMG Academy.
