The choice of driving mode is simply set via the button next to the transmission lever. The driving mode selection will appear on the screen on the dashboard, making it easier for the driver to monitor it.
The way this advanced feature works involves setting the engine, transmission, brakes and power steering which are then integrated with traction control, stability control and Active Yaw Control (AYC).
Mitsubishi Xforce is equipped with advanced features, namely Drive Mode, one of which is “Wet” mode.As the name suggests, this mode is specifically designed to deal with wet or slippery road conditions, such as rain, puddles or mossy roads.
How does Wet mode work?
We should first understand what “Wet” Drive Mode is?Drive Mode “Wet” is one of several drive modes that the driver can choose. When this mode is activated, the car’s systems will adjust how the engine, transmission and traction control system work to provide more stable and safer control on slippery roads.
So when should this mode be activated?
Wet mode is very helpful and needed when driving conditions in heavy rain, hitting waterlogged roads, slippery road surfaces due to mud, wet soil or moss, or when you are driving in mountainous areas or areas with high rainfall. If road conditions become dry again, you can return to Normal drive mode.
By activating Wet mode, the system will make several adjustments, such as finely adjusting the engine power so that the car does not immediately jolt when the gas pedal is pressed so that it is easier to control on slippery roads.
Apart from that, there are settings to increase traction (the grip of the tires on the road) with the help of traction control which works more actively to prevent tires from slipping.
In Wet mode, the steering response is also smoother so it feels more stable, the driver can be more confident in maneuvering safely even if the road is slippery. The transmission will also adjust gear shifts more gently to avoid sudden jerks.
To activate Drive Mode “Wet” on the Mitsubishi Xforce is quite easy.Make sure the car is on, then look for the “Drive Mode” button/knob on the center console near the transmission lever.Turn or press until the indicator on the screen shows “Wet” Mode.
