Asep explained that the Panah Pasopati application allows Bapenda officers to detect vehicles whose taxes are in arrears by scanning or photographing Motor Vehicle Registration Numbers (TNKB).
“All West Java Bapenda employees, including myself, carry out vehicle searches every day through this application. This application can detect vehicles that are in arrears and those that are tax compliant,” he explained.

Once detected, officers will place a hang tag on the vehicle, such as on the rear view mirror, handlebar or door handle without disturbing the activities of the vehicle owner.
Without including identification
Asep ensures that in implementing this policy, privacy aspects are maintained. The hang tag installed does not include the identity of the vehicle owner or number plate.
“It’s just a reminder. We don’t reveal names, TNKB or other identities. We still pay attention to the realm of privacy,” stressed Asep.
Asep hopes that in the future there will be no more vehicles that need to be installed
