The atmosphere inside the AiMOGA Robotics office feels like stepping into the future. The day after its official launch at O&J Park, Wuhu, a number of journalists and users
Chery
from various countries had the rare opportunity to visit the artificial intelligence center belonging to the Chery Group.
What we witnessed was not just a technology demonstration, but rather a complete vision of how these robots will soon fit into our lives.
A warm welcome to humanoid robots
As soon as we entered the lobby, Mornine, a female humanoid robot, greeted us in a friendly manner.”Welcome to AiMOGA, would you like some drinks?”he said in fluent English.Amazingly, Mornine then took a bottle of mineral water and poured it into a glass with smooth and precise movements, then handed it to the guests without spilling a drop.

Supermarket simulation of the future
The most impressive demonstration took place in the supermarket simulation area. Here, Mornine collaborates with human employees wearing VR headsets and wireless gloves. An operator several meters away could “see” through Mornine’s eyes and control her hands to retrieve items from high shelves.

“I can direct Mornine to pick a specific product from the shelf without having to move from the seat,” explained one engineer while demonstrating how the wireless glove allows detailed finger movements.Mornine managed to grab some groceries from the display rack and hand them over to the “buyer” smoothly.
From humanoid robots to agile robot dogs
In another demo area, Argos, a four-legged robot dog, shows its agility by running and avoiding obstacles.Even more surprising, journalists can try out wireless gloves for themselves that allow them to move the robot arm remotely. The sensation is like having a robotic hand that follows every movement of our fingers.
Various prototypes of future robots
What’s interesting is that AiMOGA doesn’t just develop one type of robot. In their presentation, they showed an overview of various robot projects with a variety of shapes and sizes, ranging from small robots to large humanoid robots as high as 2 meters. Some designs are gendered, demonstrating a tailored approach to diverse market needs and cultural preferences.
In a limited session, Mr.Zhang Guibing, who is none other than the President of Chery International and Chief Technology Officer of AiMOGA, shared an interesting story about the philosophy behind their technology.
“The supermarket demonstration showed the future of retail,” said Zhang.”With this technology, one operator can serve several stores at once from the control center. Mornine can become a physical extension of employees in various locations.”
Regarding the shape of the female humanoid robot, Zhang explained: “Our data shows that the majority of car dealer visitors are men, so from a marketing perspective, this is an effective strategy. However, we are also developing various other shapes and sizes of robots.”
What AiMOGA focuses on is creating “embodied intelligence” – AI that doesn’t just exist in software, but has a physical body to interact with the real world. They are preparing three main types of robots: guides in car dealerships, industrial assistants in factories, and companions for households.
“In the next 18-24 months, you will start seeing these robots at Chery dealers in various countries,” stressed Zhang.”His functions range from welcoming customers, explaining car features, to helping with product demonstrations.”
The technical presentation shows that AiMOGA has reached the third generation with the capabilities:
· Real-time navigation with high precision
· Comprehension of 12 different languages
· VLA (Vision-Language-Action) system that allows robots to understand visual commands and take action
· Wireless glove control for remote operation
· Ability to manipulate objects with a high level of precision
· VR system integration for remote control
This visit is not just about seeing advanced robots, but understanding how Chery through AiMOGA is building a technology ecosystem that will change the way we interact with machines in the future. From serving drinks to helping with supermarket shopping – all with technology that is real and ready for mass production.
