Vingroup officially received a first -class worker’s order award from the Vietnamese government for its success in completing the National Exhibition and Convention Center project.This award was given as a recognition of the company’s achievements in completing the 15 -month national strategic project faster than the specified schedule.
The award submission ceremony took place in conjunction with the inauguration of the National Exhibition and Convention Center in the Tu Lien Bridge area, Dong Anh District, Hanoi.This event is part of a series of 80 years of Vietnamese National Day which falls on September 2, 2025.
Deputy Chair and CEO of Vingroup, Nguyen Viet Quang, stated that the acceptance of the order of one -class worker was an honor as well as a pride for all company employees.
“We are committed to continuing to maintain the spirit of perseverance in operating this center successfully, as well as contributing to making Hanoi and Vietnam a superior destination for world -class political, economic, cultural and social events,” he said in a written statement, Tuesday (19/8).
The national exhibition and convention center is one of the 10 largest exhibition centers in the world with a total area of 900,000 square meters.Construction began on August 30, 2024 and was successfully completed on June 27, 2025, in just 10 months.
This time achievement is a new benchmark in the Vietnam construction sector.Vingroup succeeded in overcoming complex technical challenges, especially in the construction of a giant steel dome with a scale that had never existed before in the country.
As the main investor and contractor, Vingroup mobilizes all the resources owned.During the peak development, this project involved hundreds of contractors with up to 3,000 workers and engineers.Supported by 800-1,000 units of heavy equipment from all Vietnam, including cranes with a capacity of 300-500 tons.
The construction location operates 24 hours a day in three work shifts, which allows the acceleration of development up to 60% from normal time.However, Vingroup still maintains strict safety and quality standards.
The center of this complex is the Kim Quy exhibition hall, the largest circle -shaped exhibition hall in the world.With an area of more than 130,000 square meters and the central height reached 56 meters, this building was inspired by the legend of the Golden Turtle Dewa (Kim Quy) from the story of Co Loa.

outstanding.24,000 tons of steel domes are assembled using ultra-large steel beams and high strength bolts with special torque methods.This ensures that the safety factor is double the general standard.
The roof of the building is coated with ultra-ranging and durable fiberglass fabric which provides natural lighting as well as energy efficiency in accordance with international green building standards.
In addition to the Kim Quy hall, this complex is also equipped with four outdoor squares (east, west, south, north), the center of the Vinpalace International Convention, Green Park, Lake, and large-scale parking facilities.
With a capacity of hundreds of thousands of people for outdoor events and thousands of people for indoor events, this center can accommodate various activities ranging from large exhibitions, concerts, national festivals, to global technology exhibitions.
This facility meets international standards and is expected to lift the MICE industry (

) Vietnam to a higher level.
One of the main reasons for the acceleration of development is the preparation for the national achievement exhibition which will take place on August 28 to September 5, 2025. This exhibition marks the celebration of 80 years of Vietnam’s independence with the theme ‘Independence, Freedom, and Happiness’.
For the first time, all provinces, ministries, sectors and companies in Vietnam will participate in a national -scale exhibition.This event is expected to attract millions of visitors and become an important moment in the history of the Vietnamese.
The success of completing this project not only shows the financial capacity and capability of a strong Vingroup project management, but also emphasizes the role of Vietnamese private companies in national development in the era of global integration.
