Ataru Esaka reported his debut goal wearing a Ulsan Hyundai uniform.
Ulsan held a goal feast in the 18th round of Hana 1 Q K League 1 2023 held at Munsu Soccer Stadium on the 10th at 6:00 pm, winning 5-1 against Jeju United and solidifying its lead with 44 points.

Ataru, who we met after the game, said, “It was a match against a team in the second place, and it is fortunate that we were able to win.”
Ataru credited Um Won-sang for scoring his debut goal. He said, “Eom Won-sang’s cross was perfect. thanks. Won Sang-i always went to the game, but he had a hard time because he couldn’t play well. The two of you looked good today. Both you and the team will become a plus,” he smiled brightly.
Ataru approached manager Hong Myung-bo after scoring. Director Hong Myung-bo embraced them. He said, “I had a hard time after coming to Korea. There were a lot of things the director cared about, and it meant that I was grateful to be able to reciprocate.”
When asked what was the hardest part, Ataru said, “I had a good start since the opening match, but my rhythm was broken due to an injury. A lot of time has passed, including his time to adapt to Korea. I will do my best to contribute to the team like today.”
Ataru was a midfielder for Urawa Reds in Japan. He received a love call from Ulsan and took on a new challenge. In the meantime, Urawa reached the top of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League (ACL). It’s heartbreaking.
In response, Ataru said, “Even while I was in Korea, I encountered a lot of Japanese soccer. I saw his former teammates win. Rather than being envious, it is more important that the time I spend here is spent preciously, not unnecessary. I thought about how I could use this time well,” he said, expressing his intention to work hard in Ulsan.
