All variants are equipped with black outside mirrors and an entertainment system using 10 inch premium audio with various new features such as Wireless Apple Carplay & Android Auto and Streaming Apps on Q Grade.
The main differentiator of this Veloz lies in the engine section which has been injected with hybrid technology to combine a petrol engine and electric motor and battery.
The Veloz Hybrid EV uses the same 2NR-VEX engine and Hybrid system as the Yaris Cross Hybrid. The engine has capacity
1,500 cc and carries a Series-Parallel Hybrid system which provides smooth, responsive and instant driving transitions.
Even though the engine is the same as the Yaris Cross, the hybrid technology has been improvised and adapted to the needs of a seven-passenger car.
Not only in the performance sector, the Veloz Hybrid EV is also equipped with additional features on Toyota Safety Sense (TSS).
Several existing systems are also maintained, such as the Pre-Collision System (PCS) and Lane Departure Alert.
President Director of Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) Hiroyuki Ueda said that the presence of the Veloz Hybrid is Toyota’s effort to expand its electrification initiatives to reach all levels of society.
“The presence of this model is expected to provide wider access to more efficient, affordable and inclusive mobility solutions for customers throughout Indonesia, in line with Toyota’s commitment to supporting the development of the electrified vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia,” said Ueda at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW), ICE BSD Tangerang, Friday (21/11).
