Veloz Hybrid was officially launched today, Friday (21/11) to coincide with the 2025 Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) automotive exhibition.

Henry Tanoto, Vice President of Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) emphasized that the Toyota Veloz Hybrid is Toyota’s attempt to expand the electrification market at a more affordable price in Indonesia.

“So we are presenting the newest hybrid vehicle, Veloz Hybrid. This is a special price until the end of 2025,” said Henry.
In terms of exterior design, the Toyota Veloz Hybrid has not changed much from the conventional model that is still on sale today.However, now there is a typical Toyota hybrid emblem.

The main differentiator is clearly the engine that has been injected using hybrid technology which combines a petrol engine and electric motor and battery.
The New Veloz Hybrid EV is equipped with a 2NR -VEX engine and the same Hybrid system as the Toyota Yaris Cross, with a capacity of 1,500 cc.Carrying a Series-Parallel Hybrid system which provides smooth, responsive and instant driving transitions.
Apart from the Veloz Hybrid, Toyota also launched the locally assembled Urban Cruiser EV and bZ4X electric cars at GJAW 2025.
“We hope that these two electric cars will also become people’s choice. These cars can now be ordered,” said Henry.
