Veloz Hybrid is not the only new ammunition launched
Toyota
at Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025. The company also released two electric cars, namely the Urban Cruiser EV and locally assembled bZ4X, the price of which is around IDR 400 million.
When sold in Indonesia as a Japanese CBU imported car, the price of the bZ4X was more than IDR 1.2 billion.But now, after being assembled locally, the selling price of the car has dropped drastically to IDR 799 million.

Meanwhile, the Urban Cruiser, which was first exhibited last July at the 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), has now been priced at IDR 759 million.
“The hope is that these two electric cars will also become the people’s choice. These cars can now be ordered,” said Henry Tanoto, Deputy President Director of Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) at ICE BSD Tangerang, Friday (21/11).

According to Henry, these two models strengthen Toyota’s electrification options to meet the diverse mobility needs of society, and are part of the strategy to create an environmentally friendly mobility ecosystem in Indonesia.
The locally assembled bZ4X comes with a number of significant improvements, including increased battery capacity and performance, which allows for longer range, more responsive acceleration, as well as updated exterior-interior design that fully integrates New T-Intouch.
Meanwhile, the Urban Cruiser is expected to be a solution for Indonesian people who want a stylish electrified vehicle, with reliable performance to accompany their daily routine in various traffic conditions.
“With various improvements, the New bZ4X Battery EV is the ideal choice for customers who want to experience electric driving as a complement to the vehicle they already own,” said Henry.
Hiroyuki Ueda, President of TAM, added that the presence of these three models, including the Veloz Hybrid, is expected to complement Toyota’s electrification line in Indonesia.
“We are expanding electrification options and encouraging local production, to facilitate customer access to environmentally friendly technology, while making a real contribution to the growth of the national automotive industry.”Ueda said.
