, the Chery Group sub brand officially introduced Lepas L8 in South Jakarta, on Wednesday (19/11).Indonesia is the first country where Lepas L8 was launched.
The release price for the L8 will be announced at Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week 2025, Friday (21/11).After the acronyms Leopard and Passion, it is claimed to have a different character from the Chery cars marketed in Indonesia.
Afterwards, the L8 was introduced as a 5-seater SUV which became an extension of its users’ lifestyle, natural, confident and elegant without excessive effort.

“Lepas is not only introducing a new brand, but also introducing the Lepas character and commitment to those who choose to stand with trust and personality,” said Ricky He, Deputy Country Director of Lepas Indonesia.
The L8 is distinguished by its inspiration from the elegance and precision of leopard, from the Leopard-inspired Front Fascia to the Leopard-Eye Headlights, every element provides a dynamic and bold expression on the road.
Details like Elegant Body Paint, Semi-concealed Door Handles, and Full-Width LED Taillights add a premium touch that’s modern but not overdone, designed to remain eye-catching from any angle.
Entering the cabin, users are greeted by the Advanced Smart Cockpit which provides calm and convenience.The integration of smart technology ensures every journey feels more intuitive, sleeker and stays connected to daily activities.This cabin space not only looks elegant, but presents a harmonious atmosphere that follows the rhythm of modern life.
Indonesia has not yet revealed the detailed specifications of the L8.However, the dimensions of the L8 are certainly larger than the Chery Tiggo 8.
The Chery Tiggo 8 is 4,725 mm long, 1,860 mm wide, 1,705 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2,710 mm with a passenger capacity of 7 adults.Meanwhile, the Lepas L8 has dimensions of 4,688 mm in length, 1,871 mm in width, 1,694 mm in height and a wheelbase of 2,800 mm with a passenger capacity of 5 adult passengers.
Afterwards, the L8 is equipped with Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) technology, while the engine will be revealed at GJAW.

The car is equipped with Automated Parking Assist (APA) and Remote Parking Assist (RPA).These two features allow the vehicle to park itself, even without a driver inside.
As a result, users can reduce stress in tight parking situations, save time and enjoy more efficient travel, making room for both physical and emotional comfort.
