Suzuki Indomobil Motor (
driver’s license
) has stopped sales of the Karimun Wagon R since the end of 2021, but this car is still produced domestically and exported CKD to Pakistan.Now deliveries to Pakistan have been stopped, which is said to have been happening for the last few months.
The Karimun Wagon R was not completely ‘dead’ by Suzuki after it was decided to stop being sold domestically.Pakistan, which does not want to import cars from India, requested the supply of CKD cars from Indonesia.

The decision to discontinue the Wagon R in Indonesia is due to demand continuing to decline since this model (Low Cost Green Car/LCGC) was released domestically in 2013.
The Wagon R was then replaced with the S-Presso as Suzuki’s cheapest car in the country, but not an LCGC product.

After this decision, the Wagon R did not really become extinct.Suzuki Indonesia continues to produce this car at the Tambun factory for export needs in the form of Completely Knock Down (CKD) to Pakistan since 2014.
However, as of March 2025, exports to Pakistan will no longer be recorded.The last recorded shipping activity occurred one month earlier or in February, totaling 96 units.
Reflecting on this data, Suzuki Indonesia did not clearly explain the fate of the Wagon R.
Manager of Export SIM Domu Arisanto only explained that they were following developments from Pakistani representatives.
“For Wagon R exports to Pakistan, for now we are following Pakistan’s developments,” said Domu when met in Cikarang, West Java, Tuesday (18/11).
Without providing an explanation regarding the future of the Wagon R, Domu added that his party actually plans to make Fronx a new menu for the Pakistani market.
“We will send in CKD form for the Fronx model to Pakistan. Adding models,” said Domu.
