If they pass the training, the old driver will actually get priority to drive the new vehicle unit.
“This program is an investment in human resources, not a punishment. We listen to public complaints, but also take care of the driver’s health,” he explained.
This rejuvenation is planned to take place in two stages.A total of 50 electric Microtrans units will operate starting December 2025, while the remaining 50 units will follow in February 2026. KWK, Mayasari Bakti and Steady Safe remain operator partners for this new fleet.
Meanwhile, the DKI Provincial Government also requires old drivers to undergo retraining with TransJakarta Academy as the organizer.
The training curriculum covers Defensive Driving, Service Excellence, Safety & Emergency, Digital Ticketing, and Professional Ethics.Later, after training they will get an official certificate.
Certification is issued by LSP TransJakarta licensed by BNSP No.LSP-2024-001 and is valid for three years.
The DKI Provincial Government is also targeting 1,000 new drivers in this training before being recruited to strengthen the Mikrotrans fleet.
Existing drivers who do not pass the training twice can still take free remedial training or choose to work on other routes outside Mikrotrans such as BRT feeders.
