It is claimed that the J5 EV has reached 6 thousand units, starting from two weeks when it was launched in Indonesia.According to the company, this indicates that public enthusiasm for the electric SUV, which is being sold for IDR 249.9 million, is quite large.

For some time to come, the price of the J5 EV will remain the same as when it was launched in November 2025, namely IDR 249.9 million for the Standard variant and IDR 299.9 million for the Premium.
Jaecoo Indonesia Business Unit Director Jim Ma said that this step is expected to increase public interest in using the J5 EV.

“Since its launch, we have seen very strong enthusiasm throughout the dealer network, with visits continuing to increase and many consumers wanting to try the Jaecoo J5 EV straight away,” said Ma at Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025, recently.
“This market response encourages us to move faster and provide the best experience,” he said again.
Ma emphasized that the company remains committed to increasing production capacity and unit deliveries of all vehicle models.
According to him, only one week after the official announcement of the price of the J5 EV, his party had handed over J5 EV units to customers who pre-booked during GIIAS 2025. Then the next wave of deliveries was scheduled according to the order of order.
For potential consumers who order the Jaecoo J5 EV during the GJAW 2025 event on 21-30 November 2025, Ma guarantees that they will receive the unit no later than February 2026 for the first 10,000 buyers.
The J5 EV is an electric SUV with a length of 4,380 mm, a width of 1,860 mm, a height of 1,650 mm and a ground clearance of 200 mm.It has a masculine appearance with 18 inch rims.Looking at the back, there is a minimalist appearance with a horizontal LED light bar.
Jaecoo equips the J5 EV with a 155 kW (210 PS) electric motor with a peak torque of 288 Nm.The claim is that this car is able to offer responsive instant acceleration.
The battery used is 60.9 kWh to provide a range of up to 461 km on a single charge (based on NEDC standards).130 kW fast charging capability from 30-80 percent in just 28 minutes.
To distribute power to the wheels, the car is equipped with a Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) system with three driving modes, Eco, Normal and Sport.Apart from that, regenerative braking technology is also embedded which converts braking energy into additional power, while vehicle pre-conditioning keeps the battery and cabin temperature ideal before use.
