Belgium has appointed Domenico Tedesco, who led Schalke 04 and RB Leipzig, as the new head coach.
The Royal Belgian Football Association announced on its official website on the 8th (Korean time), “We are proud to announce that coach Tedesco has been appointed as the new national team leader. He is until after the 2024 Euro.”
Tedesco is a young director born in 1985먹튀검증. Having started his career as coach of Stuttgart’s U17s in 2013, he became an adult stage leader at Erzgebirge Aue in the German second division. In 2016, he also graduated from Henes Weiss Weiler Academy, a German football coaching academy.
He made a name for himself at Schalke. Tedesco, who took over as manager of Schalke in 2017, led the team to second place in the league and to the UEFA Champions League (UCL) for the first time in four years. However, the following year, he was sluggish in 14th place and was hardened.
He also gave Leipzig his first major win. In 2021 he took charge of Leipzig, giving the German DFB-Pokal. In Leipzig, he continued his unique strong forward pressure, but the following season, he won only 2 wins (2 draws, 3 losses) in 7 matches in all competitions and was hardened in September.
Tedesco said, “It’s a great honor to be the new Belgian coach. I’m really looking forward to the job and I’m very motivated. From the first conversation, I felt very good.”
