Suzuki Indomobil Sales (
SIS
) launched a new design of the legendary underbone model
Satria F150
at the Sentul Circuit, Bogor, West Java, Saturday (8/11).Indonesia is the first country to launch it in the world.
Suzuki Indomobil Motor President Director Minoru Amano explained the history of the Satria F150 starting when the A100 was assembled in Indonesia in the 1970s.He said the A100 was famous because it could be relied on as a Post Office motorbike at that time.

Then in the 1980s, the RC 100 became a flagship model which was also produced at the Suzuki factory in Bekasi.In the 1990s, Suzuki had the Shogun as the first 4-stroke underbone motorbike they produced domestically.
Then the Satria FU 120 appeared in 1997. Then in 2004 the Satria FU 150 was born, continuing the underbone motorbike class with the ‘hyper’ emblem.

“In fact, this model can create a phenomenal sentence among young people which is very famous to this day, namely ‘no FU, no love you’,” said Amano at the launch.
New features
The new generation Satria FU 150 has not experienced any changes in the engine sector.The engine is still 147 cc, 1 cylinder, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4 valves with liquid cooling.
The peak power of this engine is 13.5 kW or 18.1 hp which comes at 10,000 rpm, while the highest torque is 13.8 Nm at 8,500 rpm.
The dimensions of this motorbike are 1.95 meters long, 0.675 meters wide, 0.98 meters high and a wheelbase of 1.28 meters.The seat height is 0.765 meters and the ground clearance is 0.15 meters.
No different from the old model, this motorbike’s tire profile remains slim, namely 70/90 at the front and 80/90 at the rear.The rims used measure 17 inches.
The Satria FU 150 is now available in two variants, base with the same name and Pro.The basic difference between the two is the empty weight, the base variant of the Satria FU 150 is 112 kg, while the Pro is 115 kg.
Apart from that, only the Pro is equipped with an Antilock Braking System (ABS).The two variants can also be recognized by their different headlight designs.
Specifically, the Pro variant is equipped with the Suzuki Ride Connect system which can be connected to an application on a cellphone.The Pro instrument panel is digital which can display information such as navigation and notifications for phone calls, SMS, Whatsapp.
In addition, information such as last parking location, trip history and service alerts is available.
Pro is also provided with a keyless feature which is active within 1 meter of the motorbike.
Price
The Satria FU 150 and Pro now have a new storage space measuring 961 milliliters which can accommodate items weighing 1 kg.Inside there is a type A socket with blue backlighting which helps with lighting in the dark.
Overall, the difference between the Satria FU 150 and Pro is the main lights, instrument panel plus Suzuki Ride Connect and ABS.
SIS is selling the Satria FU 150 for IDR 31 million, while the Pro is IDR 34.9 million.The only competitor to this motorbike is the Honda Sonic 150R which is currently selling for IDR 28.9 million for the base variant and IDR 29.3 million for the HRR variant.
