During 10 months only 634,844 units were distributed from factories to dealers.Retail figures also fell, by 9.6 percent in that period.Dealer sales to consumers were only able to reach 660,659 units.
The Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo) has even revised its sales target this year, which it feels will not reach 900 thousand units. The target was lowered to 750 thousand units.
This target is smaller than the achievement in 2024 of 865,723 units and is projected to continue the downward trend from 2023 of 1,005,802 units and 2022 which reached 1,048,040 units.
Agus explained that his party was preparing an incentive proposal that included various aspects

“Therefore, it is our responsibility. It would be wrong if we did not fight for it,” he said.
There are no new proposals yet
The automotive incentive proposal from the Ministry of Industry will be submitted to the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs to be evaluated and then determine whether it will be implemented or not.
Contradictory to the direction of the Ministry of Industry, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto previously stated that there would be no automotive incentives for 2026.
“There will be no (automotive) incentives next year,” said Airlangga when visiting Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025 in Tangerang, Wednesday (26/11).
Then Airlangga’s subordinate, ministry spokesman Haryo Limanseto, said that his party had not received an official proposal regarding automotive incentives for 2026 from the supervisory ministry.
“Currently we have not had any further discussions and have not received incentive proposals from sector development ministries/institutions,” he said.
However, Haryo stated that his ministry would still open room for discussion if there were new proposals.
