Maggie’s ‘Theatre of Life’… Multi-hit before going down to the minors

Drew Magee (Pittsburgh Pirates), who became a model of ‘a heart that does not break (the important thing is an unbreakable mind)’, eventually hit a hit in the last game before going down to the minor leagues. He not only had a hit, but also had multiple hits and an RBI. Maggie successfully completed three of his first big league appearances.

Maggie안전놀이터 came out as a pinch hitter in place of Ki Brian Hayes in the top of the 7th inning in the second game of the 2023 American Professional Baseball Major League (MLB) expedition doubleheader with the Washington Nationals held at Nationals Park in Washington, DC, USA on the 30th (Korean time) and scored 2 hits and 1 RBI in 2 at-bats. He scored and contributed to a 16-1 win.

Prior to this game, Pittsburgh planned to drop Maggie to Double-A in order to bring up Miguel Anduha, who was playing in Triple-A. However, the game on the 30th was organized as a double header as the previous day’s game was canceled due to rain. The doubleheader rules allowed the roster to grow to 27 players. Maggie was able to play one last big league game before going down to Double-A.

After missing Game 1 of the doubleheader, Maggie took the opportunity to come in as a pinch hitter as Pittsburgh took a huge 12-0 lead going into the bottom of the sixth. When lead batter Jason DeLay hit a triple in the top of the 7th inning, Hayes was removed from the dugout and Maggie was placed at bat.

Maggie overcame a close game with Washington pitcher Hobby Harris that went all the way to the 7th pitch. When Harris’ splitter was formed somewhat toward the middle, the bat undoubtedly turned and a clean heavy strike was made. As third base runner Delay homered, Maggie got his first hit in his debut and an RBI at the same time. Maggie stepped on first base and smiled brightly.

Maggie, who recorded a hit and an RBI for the first time in the big leagues in 13 years, took over as a third baseman from the bottom of the 7th inning and even defended.

His maggie’s activity did not end here. In the top of the ninth inning, as well, with Delay as the lead batter and a hit, Maggie made a double that went into the left field and sent Delay to third base. Although Washington’s pitcher was Rayne Thomas, a fielder, he had a fastball (?) of 78.3 miles per hour (126 km/h), but Maggie produced long hits and multiple hits for the first time in his debut. Afterwards, Anduha’s three-run home run was followed by Maggie’s scoring.

Maggie, who played the last game without regret before going down to the minor leagues, said, “I don’t think I can change everything in a week. But I didn’t give up and believed that I could do it.” was a special week and I will never forget it.”
