Low MPV Market
During July 2025 showed tight competition, especially in the middle board.In the standings, the new BYD M6 player managed to penetrate the top three, but could not paste the Toyota Avanza.
The Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo) noted that Toyota Avanza was still in lead, followed by Xpander.
While the M6 which is the only electric car in the Low MPW segment reaps its own spotlight. Even though it entered the top three with the acquisition of wholesales or distribution from the factory to the dealer of 891 units, the M6 was unable to overshadow Xpander let alone Avanza.
Apart from that, the M6 sank Toyota Veloz who only received 874 units of wholesales.
Another Avanza twin, Daihatsu Xenia, had to be satisfied with sixth position by collecting 311 units.
The bottom three, namely Wuling Confero, Suzuki Ertiga, and Nissan Livina, each obtained distribution figures from the factory to 61 units of dealers, 41 units, and 13 units.
Livina results are far worse than June, because in the previous month the wholesales of this car reached 16 units.
On the other hand, Toyota also recorded national -selling car sales figures through Kijang Innova Zenix and Reborn products.
According to Gaikindo, Innova distribution during July 2025 reached 4,311 units.Innova’s position was followed by her brother, Toyota Avanza, who was in second place with wholesales 3,348 units.
While in third place there is Daihatsu Gran Max Pikap which recorded a distribution number to the dealer of 3,175 units and Daihatsu Sigra ranked four with 2,951 units.
Shifted to fifth position, Sigra’s twin brother, Toyota Calya, received a distribution of 2,525 units.
