Based on data from the used motor vehicle buying and selling platform OLX, the Toyota Kijang Innova still occupies the top position as the most popular used car this year.

According to consumer preferences from January to November 2025, the Toyota Kijang Innova, Toyota Avanza and Toyota Fortuner are the top three cars sought by the public.Then the Honda HR-V and Honda Brio followed after.
According to OLX, this trend confirms the high market interest in MPV cars which occupy first position and SUVs in second position.

Approaching the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 holiday seasons, used car buyers are predicted to be even more enthusiastic.This reflects last year’s trend when there was an increase in the number of potential buyers on the OLX platform which reached 6 percent in December 2024 compared to November 2024.
In terms of price, used cars in the range of IDR 100 million to IDR 200 million are the most popular segment in 2025.
This pattern strengthens the trend that was seen during the Christmas and New Year holiday season in the previous year.In December 2024, the type of car being targeted will also be similar to the 2025 trend, where SUV is the most popular category, followed by MPV and hatchback.
The Toyota brand was also the leading brand last year, beating Honda, Suzuki, Daihatsu and Mitsubishi.
The models that are favorites at the end of 2024 are the same as the trends throughout 2025, namely the Toyota Kijang Innova, Toyota Avanza, and Toyota Fortuner in first, second, and third place respectively.Meanwhile, the Honda CR-V and HR-V follow below.
OLX Director Agung Iskandar believes that cars with spacious cabin space for passengers are the target of consumers who have families.
“Usually, the Christmas and New Year holidays are used as momentum to go out with the family. So, people who want to buy a used car at OLX usually want to upgrade the capacity so they can transport their family members,” Agung said as quoted by Antara.

Agung added that for consumers who want to buy used SUV or MPV cars, they must check the condition of the suspension and undercarriage.This will determine comfort, safety and future maintenance costs.
