Lee hit a single up the middle off KT starter Wes Benjamin in the bottom of the eighth inning of a 4-2 loss to the KT WIZ at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on 11 November.

The hit pushed him into triple digits in hits, as he had 99 on the season before the game.

Since turning pro in 2017, Lee has gone over 100 hits in a season without missing a year.

At 24 years, 10 months, and 21 days old, Lee surpassed the previous record holder, Doosan Bears’ Lee Seung-yeop, by one month and three days at 24 years, 11 months, and 24 days.

Lee’s seventh consecutive 100-hit season is the 40th in KBO history.
