BYD Atto 1
will again become the best-selling car in Indonesia during November 2025. The accumulated sales of this battery-based city car are far behind a number of rivals such as the Toyota Kijang Innova to the Daihatsu Gran Max.
Quoting wholesale data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), Atto 1 distribution to dealers was 8,333 units, down from October’s acquisition of 9,396 units.

Even though this achievement has decreased, it still puts Atto 1 at the top.Kijang Innova (Reborn and Zenix) is in second place with a wholesale record that is far below Atto 1, namely 4,475 units. The Kijang Innova figure is followed by the Gran Max pickup with 4,421 units.
In third place is the Toyota Avanza with 3,912 units and the Suzuki Carry pickup is in fifth place with 3,157 units.

Entering sixth position is the Toyota Calya which is followed by the Toyota Rush, as well as the Gran Max (blind van and minibus).Meanwhile, the bottom two in the top 10 standings are Mitsubishi Xpander (including Cross) and LCGC Daihatsu Sigra.
November Sales
National car wholesalers during November amounted to 74,252 units, up 0.3 percent from October.Meanwhile, November retail rose 6.1 percent to 79,310 units.
From these results, Toyota is still the market leader, while Honda’s profits are getting smaller compared to the dominance of Chinese brands, such as BYD.
In total, wholesales from January to November 2025 stopped at 710,084 units or down 9.6 percent from the same period last year.Retail fell 8.4 percent to 739,977 units compared to the first 11 months of 2024.
From these results, sales of new cars are predicted to reach the new target of 780 thousand units set by Gaikindo to replace the previous target of 900 thousand units.
