In Indonesia, it is certain to be re -bouncing following the 99.9 percent acquisition step of shares that have been carried out
Indomobil
, namely National Assemblers (NA), against Nissan Motor Indonesia.
Jusak Kertowidjojo, Managing Director of Indomobil Sukses International Tbk (IMAS), said that his party is now conducting an inventory and checking to realize the plan.
“That’s right, the factory will be revived. Currently an inventory and checking are currently being carried out,” Jusak said when contacted on Wednesday (3/9).
However, it is still uncertain whether the Nissan factory will be used to produce Nissan cars as before or used for other things.Jusak also has not been able to unravel the first product that will be produced such as the factory has officially operated.
The Nissan factory in Indonesia has been closed permanently since 2020, as part of the company’s global efficiency strategy.
Before actually closing the factory, Nissan began efficiency by reducing the production line so that the assembly was only made for Datsun cars. But this effort did not last long and in the end the factory had to be permanently closed.
After the Setop factory, Nissan continued to run a business in Indonesia by selling cars that were imported intact in an imported manner. However there is one model produced in Indonesia, namely Livina.
Livina was not produced in the Nissan factory, but by her alliance colleagues in the country, Mitsubishi.
