Stinging to Indonesia without following the Type Test Registration Certificate (SRUT).Commercial vehicles are now widely used in various mining industries.
The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) acknowledged this.In fact, according to the government of vehicles, it does not need to test the type, because its use is only in mining areas, not on the highway.
“Related to vehicles, especially CBU trucks that we have identified that the trucks are indeed intended for the operation of mining companies. The operation is not on public roads,” said Director of Facilities and Safety of the Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Yusuf Nugroho, quoting

Based on Law Number 22 Year 2009 concerning Traffic and Road Transportation (LLAJ) and Government Regulation (PP) Number 55 of 2012 concerning Vehicles, Completely Built Up (CBU) Import Trucks that are operated outside public roads are not mandatory through the type and periodic test.
“These vehicles are not done type testing or periodic testing, if it is indeed operated outside public roads,” said Yusuf.
“(But) we want to make sure that the vehicle also supports to meet the technical requirements and roadworthy in accordance with the design of the vehicle which is not intended to be operated on public roads,” he added.
However, Yusuf said that his party would coordinate with related ministries or institutions so that businesses would prioritize aspects of safety in their operations.
“This will also be coordinated with related ministries/institutions that have authority in the field of mining and also related stakeholders, so that the aspects of safety can be prioritized,” Yusuf said.
