Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) has just symbolically handed over the first unit of an electric car

J5 for nine customers on Saturday (29/11) at Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025. This electric SUV is targeted to deliver 10 thousand units by February 2026.
Jaecoo Indonesia Business Unit Director, Jim Ma, said that the unit handover ceremony was the first step in gradual national delivery.

This ceremony also marks the achievement of J5 orders of 6,000 units in just the first two weeks since it was launched on November 3.
“Today’s ceremony is the beginning of our journey to deliver the J5 EV into the hands of thousands of consumers throughout Indonesia with a comprehensive ownership experience,” he said.

Ma called the public’s enthusiasm for the J5 ‘absolutely extraordinary’.He also said there was a strong response in the dealer network and at GJAW 2025 there was high interest in test drives and the Jaecoo booth was busy with people visiting.
Jaecoo Indonesia has decided that the price tag for the J5 will not increase at GJAW 2025, remaining IDR 249.9 million for the Standard variant, while the Premium is the same at IDR 299.9 million.
At the launch of the J5, Jaecoo Indonesia stated that the price was only valid for the first 1,000 consumers, but in the end it was given to 6,000 consumers.
Now that price remains in effect for 10 thousand consumers.
