Starting their latest MPV production, Stargazer Cartenz and Cartenz X at the Cikarang Factory, West Java.Not only assembly, the company also ensures the use of local components or TKDN both products have reached more than 40 percent.
Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID), said that through the Cartenz Stargazer, his party wanted to bring the success of the model to a higher level.
According to him this update not only perfect the previous model, but also strengthens Hyundai’s competitiveness in the low MPV and Low SUV segments.
“With TKDN which has reached more than 40 percent and is fully assembled in Indonesia, this car not only provides mobility solutions for the people of Indonesia, but also provides definite availability for consumers,” Soerjopranoto said in an official statement, quoted on Thursday (7/8).
Stargazer Cartenz comes with a modern appearance with aerodynamic shape and elegant design line.While Cartenz X is present through a typical touch of crossover.
Both are claimed to be equipped with a wide and comfortable interior.
Cartenz and Cartenz X also experienced various improvements, one of which was the addition of the Hyundai SmartSense (HSS) features consisting of Rear Parking Distance Warning, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Blind Spot View Monitor (BVM), and Surround View Monitor (SVM).
Specifically at Cartenz X, users will be spoiled with Shift-by-Wire (SBW) technology placed near the steering wheel.
Hyundai also embed the built-in navigation feature in Cartenz and Cartenz X. This feature allows driving to find the best routes more easily without the need for additional devices such as smartphones.
Both are also equipped with Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, but specifically Cartenz X plus the Blind Spot View Monitor feature.
Hyundai ensured that Cartenz could arrive at the consumer garage quickly without having to wait long up to three months, while the delivery time began in August 2025. In addition, the company also plans to send Cartenz to various countries for export needs.
