Hyundai E&C defeated Korea Expressway Corporation 3-1 (25-22 25-17 15-25 25-19) in straight sets in the third match of Group A of the tournament at Park Jung-hee Gymnasium in Gumi, Gyeongbuk, Korea, on February 2.
After winning the first two matches of the group stage, Hyundai E&C punched its ticket to the quarterfinals.
Five players scored double-digit points in the match. Hwang Yeon-ju and Lee Da-hyun combined for 11 points, including three blocked shots, while Na Hyun-soo and Jeong Ji-yoon also had 11 points apiece. Kim Joo-hyang added 10 points.

Korea Express, who defeated regular season champions Heungkuk Sinsung in the V-League championship final last season, finished the group stage of the tournament with a 1-2 record. They finished third in Group A and failed to qualify for the quarterfinals, which are reserved for the top two teams.
They were led by 20 points from Jeon Sae-yan and 15 points from Kim Se-in, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the loss.

KGC Ginseng scored six points from 8-5 to widen the gap, while a shaky Pepper Savings Bank struggled on defense and gave up more points.
At 19-8, Lee Han-bi scored a back-attack to reach the 20-point mark, driving a wedge into the match early. In the second set, KGC Ginseng played a clean game without committing a single error.
KGC Ginseng then took the third set and took the lead.
At 18-18, they scored five points in a row, starting with a fastball by Jung Ho-young and an open attack by Lee Sun-woo, and a block by Park Hye-min created a set point.
