The Yamaha Aerox 155 might get a comparable rival if
Honda
wants to bring the Airblade 160 to the Indonesian market.So, will this happen?
Ahmad Muhibbuddin, General Manager of Corporate Communication for Astra Honda Motor (AHM), said that basically Honda always wants to provide consumers with many choices of motorbikes.

All of this, said Muhibbuddin, will start with a survey, both internally and through consumers directly.
“In every product we release on the market, we start with a survey of what consumers want. We will definitely hear what consumers’ voices are like,” said Muhibbuddin in Garut, West Java, Saturday (15/11).

From there, according to him, it will be known how much the public needs a motorbike product.If the survey results are appropriate, it could be that the company will plan to launch a new product.
On the other hand, if the results are not suitable, the company will try another product or stick with the existing model.
“How big their needs are. If they are big, we will definitely fulfill their needs,” he said.
However, so far Muhibbuddin emphasized that AHM has not conducted a special survey for the Airblade model in Indonesia.
“We don’t have any plans for Airblade at the moment,” he said.
The Airblade 160 is currently on sale in Vietnam after launching in that country in 2022. This motorbike has a stature like the PCX, but the design is sportier, similar to the Aerox and the dimensions are slightly larger than the Vario 160.
For the engine, Honda has equipped the Airblade 160 with a 156.9 cc eSP+ engine which can produce 11.2 kW at 8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 14.6 nm at 6,500 rpm.Honda claims this machine has fuel consumption of 2.3 liters per 100 km.
This motorbike is also equipped with an LED lighting system, keyless, ABS braking, and cellphone charging contacts in the trunk under the seat.
