The Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) has begun to tighten the collection of Motor Vehicle Tax (
CLA
) in a more aggressive manner.This time, officers combed the station parking area and checked the parked motorbikes one by one to look for tax arrears.
This activity was read by netizens who found their motorbikes as targets because of tax arrears.His motorbike had a ‘love letter’ attached to it in the form of a notice of PKB arrears when it was parked at Pondok Ranji Station.

In the uploaded photo, you can see a piece of notification paper issued by the Banten Province Bapenda attached to the motorbike’s speedometer.

The letter contains number plate data, the tax validity period has expired, as well as a warning regarding fines which can reach 24 percent per year of the principal of one year’s PKB.
The letter was issued on December 1, 2025 and has an official stamp.
“Salute to the Banten Bapenda for checking number plates one by one in the Pondok Ranji Station parking lot. Reminding those whose tax period is over, like me,” he said in a post, quoted Monday (8/12).

The withdrawal of PKB is one of the revenue sectors that the regional government is currently improving.A number of regions have implemented various strategies, including a policy of writing off tax principal for old arrears so that taxpayers are willing to pay off current obligations.
This program first became popular in West Java, although it is no longer implemented.Several other regions are still implementing PKB whitening programs, ranging from BBN exemptions to eliminating fines.
