Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (
IAMI
) claims to gain dominant market share in the commercial car segment this year, supported by growth in the logistics business sector.
IAMI in its statement on Wednesday (10/12) explained that Isuzu’s market share in the commercial car segment reached 28.6 percent.ELF’s flagship product is said to have a market share of 23 percent, Giga 17.5 percent and Traga 47.2 percent.

One indicator of Isuzu’s sales performance this year is the increase in the logistics business sector.One of the entrepreneurs in this sector, PT Pos Logistik Indonesia, explained that its operational fleet increased 100 percent this year so that the number reached more than 500 units.
“Of course, as a transportation company, we look for vehicles that are as efficient as possible, so that operational costs are lower. Well, Isuzu is very competitive here, overall on average 35 percent more economical,” said Project and Contract Logistics Vice President of PT Pos Logistik Indonesia Rahadian Tanjung in Jakarta, Tuesday (9/12).

The director of logistics transportation provider PT Mobilitas Digital Indonesia (Moda) revealed that of the total fleet of more than 1,000 units owned, 75 percent are Isuzu.
Business Strategy Division Head of PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI) Rian Erlangga explained that his party provides maximum after-sales service for its customers.
Currently, Isuzu has 127 outlets, 112 workshops spread throughout Indonesia with 486 stall mechanics.There are also 175 Isuzu partner workshops, 161 Mobile Isuzu Workshop Mechanics (BIB), and 4 Parts Depots in Makassar, Palembang, Medan and Pontianak, as well as more than 2,000 part shops.
Rian said that Isuzu is the only brand that has a Domestic Component Level (TKDN) certificate for all of its vehicle products.
“In total there are 34 variants of Isuzu vehicles, all of which have TKDN certificates,” said Rian.
Currently, the TKDN for the Isuzu Traga is more than 44 percent, while the Elf is 33 percent, and the Giga is more than 35 percent.The certificate is received in stages.
“With Isuzu’s good localization level, costs are more competitive, and availability of vehicles and spare parts is better maintained,” explained Rian.
