Suzuki Fronx
wholesales fell in October and for the first time since it launched in May it came under pressure from Toyota Raize.Despite the slowdown, Suzuki emphasized that this condition was not caused by weakening demand, but was called a stock adjustment strategy at dealer level.
Based on wholesale data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), Fronx distribution in October fell from 1,000 units to 834 units.
Meanwhile, Raize has accumulated wholesales of 882 units, which also makes it the best-selling five-seater compact SUV in the country that month.

According to Dony Ismi Saputra, Deputy of Sales & Marketing Managing Director of Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS), retail demand for Fronx remains stable at the thousand unit level.Compared to September, demand has also increased.

“From 1,000 to 1,100. If retail goes up, wholesales goes down because we are making stock adjustments,” said Dony at Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025, ICE BSD Tangerang, recently.
“Because wholesalers sell to dealers, not dealers to consumers. What you use as a benchmark is sales to consumers,” he added.
Suzuki explained that the increase in retail occurred in line with a shift in preferences for the Frontx variants purchased by the public.At the start of launch, around 70 percent of buyers chose the highest SGX variant but now the composition has changed to GL.
“So initially 70 percent of buyers were the highest variant or SGX, now GL and SGX have dropped,” he said.
According to Dony, the shift in variants among Fronx buyers is due to the phenomenon of vehicle upgrading in society.
“Well, now they buy because they need to, there are upgrades, for example from a citycar to our compact SUV. So maybe with a price range that’s not too far away, they upgrade to a GL,” said Dony.
