United States automotive company Alef Aeronautics begins production

commercially at the Silicon Valley, California assembly facility and is planned to begin shipping to consumers in 2026.
This flying car is the first innovative invention in the world that can take-off and land vertically while still being able to be driven on the road like a normal car.

Alef CEO Jim Dukhovny said this first model was handmade and would be distributed limited to a few consumers.
“We are happy to report that production of the first flying car has started according to schedule,” he said on Monday (8/12), as quoted by electrek.

This fully electric flying car has been developed by Alef for almost 10 years.Alef has received support from Tesla and Bitcoin investor Tim Draper since the flying car prototype was first introduced in 2016.
The successful flight test of this car frame in 2018 attracted increasing investor interest in the following year.

The first model, called Model A, was introduced in 2022 with a 100 percent electric power source capable of traveling 220 miles (around 354 km) with a flight range of 110 miles (around 177 km).
This model succeeded in obtaining airworthiness certification from the United States Federal Aviation Administration (US FAA) not even a year after it was first introduced.
To date, Alef has received 3,500 pre-orders with a value of up to USD 1 billion (around Rp. 16.6 trillion).Meanwhile, one unit of this cutting car is priced at USD 299 thousand (around Rp. 5 billion) and is scheduled for delivery starting in 2026.
