“As a result, this model is proof of the cooperation of the Malaysian people in creating something that is their identity, from design to engineering, QV-E opens a path that is beneficial for all,” he said in an official statement.
The CPD safety feature is tasked with issuing a warning if there are small children or pets in the car. This system works to detect movement and vital signs, such as breathing, even if the movement is covered by a cloth or blanket.
Perodua offers ‘Battery as a Service’, a subscription battery system sold separately from the purchase of a QV-E unit. This service is priced at a monthly fee of RM275 and RM297 after tax (around IDR 1.19 million).
“This concept is our solution to reduce the anxiety of battery-based electric vehicle owners. By offering this service, we can provide a lifetime guarantee for the battery for customer peace of mind,” said Ahmad.
This latest model offers the fastest acceleration among other Perodua models, namely 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, thanks to power coming from a front-mounted electric motor capable of producing 204 Ps (around 150 kW) and 285 Nm of torque.
QV-E, which stands for ‘Quest for Visionary Electric Vehicle’, is offered at a price of RM80 thousand (around Rp. 321.7 million), not including battery subscription fees and insurance. The available color choices are Ice Blue and Caviar Grey.
Perodua targets producing 500 QV-E units a month.
“Currently, we can produce 500 units a month, but we can offer 3,000 units a month in the third quarter of 2026,” he concluded.
