Jongkie D Sugiarto, Chairman I of Gaikindo admitted that one of the reasons demand for conventional cars has fallen is due to the presence of electrified cars whose prices are increasingly affordable for the public.
“Now that there are more and more affordable BEV, HEV, PHEV cars, the more people are switching,” said Jongkie when contacted, Thursday (18/12).
He also highlighted the soaring demand for PHEVs this year compared to 2024. According to Jongkie, the plug-in system hybrid car market has developed much more than in previous years.
“PHEVs are also growing, because the prices are cheaper than BEVs, and they have many plus points,” he said.
