“This is our step to help the community, as well as encourage tax awareness and orderly administration of motorized vehicles in Jakarta,” said Lusiana, Sunday (9/11).
He added that this exemption is given automatically without the need for an application from the taxpayer.
Adjustments are also made directly through the regional tax management information system, so that people simply pay the principal tax according to the provisions without being subject to late fines.
“Administrative sanctions that are removed are fines that arise due to late payment of the tax owed. So just pay the principal tax,” he explained.
This policy is also part of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s efforts to accelerate the realization of regional tax revenues and provide economic stimulus for the community towards the end of the year.Through this step, the regional government hopes that the level of tax compliance will increase and the administrative process will become easier and more transparent.
Lusiana added that tax payments can also be made via the SIGNAL application. This system means that people do not need to come to the Samsat office, but remain flexible in paying off their obligations.
“We want the community to feel helped. The regional taxes paid will go back to the development and welfare of Jakarta residents,” said Lusiana.
