Officially prohibits the use and sales of racing exhaust or
Brong
Throughout the region of West Java, addressing the public’s unrest over the sound of noisy.He also released a circular related to the prohibition on the use of exhaust not according to standards.
“To all West Java citizens, as of today we made a circular that prohibits the use and sales of the Brong exhaust,” Dedi was quoted as saying by Antara on Thursday (8/28).
He said, a circular about the prohibition on the use and sale of the brong exhaust applies in all districts/cities in the West Java region, even to the village, kelurahan, RW and RT levels.
Dedi said the policy was issued following the public’s unrest against noise arising from motorized vehicles with the exhaust Brong.
For him the exhaust brong does make people uncomfortable.In fact, it also contradicts the security side in driving.
“In my opinion it is contrary to the principles of driving comfort and safety, because each vehicle already has the standardization of their respective muffler,” he said.
He also said that when the factory default vehicle exhaust was changed, it was contrary to the traffic provisions and the comfort of other road users.
“Hopefully all parties can realize a mistake that has been done and does not do it anymore,” said Dedi.
He also said about the importance of orderly traffic culture on the highway by prioritizing safety and comfort in driving.
Brong’s exhaust is a modified vehicle exhaust without sound dampening, so as to produce a very loud and noisy sound, exceeding the noise limit set by the government.
Its use is considered to cause disruption of public order, sound pollution, and endanger safety because it interferes with the concentration of other road users, and can even trigger adrenaline for speeding.
