There is a choice of new electric cars at a low price of IDR 100 million that can be found at Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025, namely
Lumin
which is carried by the new Changan brand.
Lumin is a city car type electric car that is compact in size, has a cute face and is equipped with functionality for traveling around the city or as a mainstay for urban commuters.

The most unique part of the exterior of this car is the shape of its eyes, which are called moon eyes, but they appear to be partially closed.This design, which is equipped with LED technology, is also applied to the rear lights.
Changan Indonesia explains that Lumin uses the design language ‘Seriously Playful’.The body dimensions of this three-door car are 3.27 meters long, 1.7 meters wide, 1.59 meters high and a wheelbase of 1.98 meters and a ground clearance of 150 millimeters.

The Lumin is equipped with an electric motor with 48 hp and 83 Nm of torque that turns the front wheels.The maximum speed is limited to 101 kilometers per hour.
This capability is supported by a 28.08 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery with a range of 301 kilometers based on the NEDC test method.
Even though it is in the entry level segment, Lumin is equipped with a DC charging system or fast charging with a claim of charging from 30 percent to 80 percent in just 35 minutes.Meanwhile, if you use AC charging, charging from 0 percent to 10 percent takes around 10 hours.
The features available on the Lumin include airbags, tire pressure alarm, speed sensing auto door lock, auto door unlock upon collision, ESP, ABS+EBD, Hill hold control, rear camera and rear parking sensors.
Changan Indonesia is selling Lumin for IDR 178 million with a choice of exterior colors wheat yellow, moss green, sakura powder, foggy white and magpie gray.There are two interior options, gray-black and light gray-orange.
Lumin, called Changan Indonesia, is aimed at novice electric car consumers, students, young families and daily commuters who need a compact vehicle for daily activities.

With competitive prices, its presence strengthens Indonesia’s steps towards an era of electric vehicles that are increasingly inclusive and popular with the public,” said Setiawan Surya, CEO of Changan Indonesia, in his official statement, Wednesday (26/11).
