Referring to data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), the total distribution of Atto 1 contributed almost 90 percent or reached 9,396 units, while BYD’s total wholesales total was 10,593 units.
This means that other BYD models such as the M6, Seal, Atto 3, Dholpin, and even the Sealion 7, only distributed 1,197 units to dealers throughout the month.
This figure also automatically makes the Atto 1 the first electric car to reach the top of the best-selling car standings in the country, displacing the subscription model, namely the Toyota Kijang Innova.
For him, this is an indication that electric vehicles have been widely accepted and are able to answer society’s current needs.
“BYD is the number 1 EV in Indonesia. As well as a significant contributor to the growth rate of the national automotive industry,” said Nathan.
Apart from that, he described global to national achievements and expansion as a strong foundation for BYD’s technological innovation which was built by more than 122 thousand R&D experts spread globally and a portfolio of more than 65,000 patents, of which 39,000 have been verified.
Then, continuous innovation drives BYD to present super-fast charging technology “BYD Megawatt-Charging” which integrates the Super E-Platform as a revolutionary solution for the next generation electric vehicle experience.
This system was officially introduced in Indonesia through the GJAW 2025 event.

The presence of this vehicle range provides a comprehensive picture of BYD’s ability to provide relevant mobility solutions for various consumer needs.
