The Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) has begun to intensify its pursuit of arrears

This incident was shared by the Instagram account @deddy_pk and went viral on social media.

He shared photos showing paper notices of arrears stuck to the speedometer area of his motorbike.The paper appears to have been issued directly by the Banten Province Bapenda.

In the photo you can see information regarding the tax delinquent’s number plate and the expiry date of the tax arrears.It was also explained that those in arrears would be subject to a monthly fine of 24 percent per year of the 1-year PKB principal.
It is also written that this letter is set for December 1 2025 and there is a black and white stamp in the signature area.
“Salute to the Banten Bapenda for checking number plates one by one in the Pondok Ranji Station parking lot. A reminder for those whose tax period is over, like me,” he said in a post, quoted on Wednesday (3/12).
Vehicle tax is currently one of the revenues that regional governments are fixing so that its flow runs smoothly.Various local governments have implemented a strategy of being willing to write off tax principal for years of tax arrears so that owners are willing to pay off current tax bills.
This initiation was first carried out by the West Java government, but now the program is no longer valid.
For several other areas, there is a Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) reduction program that is still ongoing, starting from free BBN to eliminating vehicle tax fines.
