, a derivative brand of Chery, stated that it is committed to expanding its sales network to as many as 40 dealers in Indonesia.This target is set to be achieved at least by the end of 2026.
Ricky He, Deputy Country Director of Lepas Business Unit Indonesia, said that this expansion was presented so that consumers could enjoy the company’s services starting from unit sales, after sales to special services for Lepas owners.
“Indonesia is not only an important market for Lepas, but the foundation for Lepas’ growth. Therefore, we are investing heavily in network development,” said Ricky at Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025, ICE BSD Tangerang, Wednesday (26/11).

It doesn’t stop there, Lepas also ensures a long-term commitment by starting local assembly (CKD) in Indonesia through their partner factory, Handal Indonesia Motor (HIM), West Java.

The world’s first right-hand drive model that will enter production later this month is the L8, a PHEV-based SUV.
“We plan local production and present the best technology. This commitment is proof that Lepas has come not just to introduce products, but to become part of the elegant mobility ecosystem in Indonesia in the long term,” he said.
The L8 is an SUV whose design is inspired by leopards, starting from the front grill, headlights, to the interior.This car is designed using the LEX platform with a wheelbase of 2,800 millimeters for spacious space.
Apart from that, the platform is also considered efficient with fuel consumption of 1.49 liters per 100 kilometers.Meanwhile, its range is claimed to be capable of covering a distance of more than 1,300 km on one full charge, between petrol and electricity.
During GJAW, L8 was officially sold at a pre-booking price of IDR 589 million.
