Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) claims the efficiency of the new model fuel imported from Japan,
Rocky Hybrid
, reaching 47.8 kilometers per liter.This irregular figure was achieved when ADM held a test drive session for the media on Thursday (18/9) which was attended by 40 media crews.
The measurement method is called using real time data at Multi Information Display (MID).The driving test is said to pass through the typical combination route of urban communities with a combination of uphill and declining conditions, traffic jams, surfaces of paving blocks to asphalt and intersection.
Each car is said to be filled with three to four people with the condition of the AC on normal.
“In this Rocky Hybrid test, all media participants are able to achieve fuel consumption of more than 30 km/L, some are even able to get very high fuel efficiency by reaching 47.8 km/L,” ADM wrote in his official statement, Friday (19/9).
Rocky Hybrid is a new product that launched at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) at Agutsus 2025. At the launch of the price of this car Rp293.3 million and there was only one variant.
Rocky Hybrid brings ESMART technology that combines the 3-cylinder 3-cycle of the Atkinson 1,200 cc WA-VX cycle with a 177.6 volt lithium-ion battery capable of producing power of 0.74 kWh.
The engine works as a generator to charge the battery, the power produced is not used for turning the front wheels that are positioned as a driving force.The front wheel moves because it gets energy from an electric motor powered 104.5 hp and 170 Nm of torque.

Tips for getting maximum fuel efficiency according to ADM is to maintain a constant speed between 40-80 kilometers per hour, using the B-B-B-Derivative Transmission to charge the battery and keep the distance to optimize battery charging.
