Indonesian motorbikes during October 2025 will be dominated by only one model, namely the Atto 1. This electric car accounts for almost 90 percent of BYD’s total unit shipments to dealers during that period.
Referring to data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), the total distribution of Atto 1 reached 9,396 units, while BYD’s total wholesales were 10,593 units.
This means that other BYD models such as the M6, Seal, Atto 3, Dholpin, and even the Sealion 7, only distributed 1,197 units to dealers throughout the month.

This figure also automatically makes the Atto 1 the first electric car to reach the top of the best-selling car standings in the country.

Atto 1 is the best-selling car in October 2025, displacing the subscription model Toyota Kijang Innova.
The presence of the Atto 1, whose delivery in October 2025 was the first after being released in July 2025, helped push BYD to the top of the best-selling brand standings.
BYD succeeded in occupying the position of the three best-selling brands in the country, while at the same time throwing off Honda, which had previously filled that position.
BYD’s sales ‘exploded’ during October with the number of wholesalers reaching 10,593 units.Its position is below Toyota which packs 20,559 units and Daihatsu 11,593 units.
Under BYD is Mitsubishi, which recorded wholesale figures of 7,620 units.The next position is Suzuki with total sales of 5,550 units.
Meanwhile, Honda is now in sixth position because the distribution figure to dealers is only 3,647 units.
In terms of retail or direct sales to consumers, BYD also ranks third behind Toyota and Daihatsu after the Chinese brand packed 9,732 units.
Moving to fourth there is Mitsubishi, then Suzuki, and sixth is Honda.
