“We, PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors, don’t just sell products, we also build an ecosystem, we make investments, the aim is to contribute to Indonesia of course because apart from producing the products we sell, KRM, as one of the investments of the KTB group, is also very open to absorbing workers to support operations at KRM,” said Aji in Cakung, Wednesday (12/11).
“This proves that Mitsubishi Fuso not only sells products, but we are part of Indonesia’s development,” he added.
In addition to absorbing labor in assembly facilities and a dealer network which now totals 226 units throughout Indonesia, KTB has also established partnerships with around 100 local supplier companies as part of efforts to empower the country’s supply chain.
KRM is currently implementing automation in the production of Mitsubishi Fuso trucks.According to KRM’s President Director, Duljatmono, KRM’s automation needs are currently sufficient so adding automation technology in the production process is not currently a priority.
He emphasized that the use of robots remains based on the company’s efficiency principles, namely adapting to production volumes and current facility capabilities.
“Of course in the future we will discuss more progress, yes, about adding more, but it will be gradual. Why? Because it requires investment and it has to be efficient,” he said.
“Large investment but the volume is not balanced will be inefficient, so it’s about the need for technology and efficiency,” he added.
Responding to electrification efforts in the Indonesian automotive industry, Duljatmono said KRM is ready to produce the latest electric vehicles (EV) if demand increases.
“Our facilities are flexible and adaptive to new products, including EVs. If that is needed, it means the principal orders production here because
demand
“It’s there, yes, we are ready to do that,” he explained.
“Of course, there are adapted processes or technologies that need to be learned by the KRM team, by its employees, there is training and then there is investment needed for that, but in principle KRI is ready because it is flexible and adaptive to those needs,” he added.
