According to Utomo, tariffs that have not changed over the last few years have caused unrest among drivers and associations.
“So that’s what always creates unrest in the voices of the demands of these drivers or their associations,” he said.

He said the Ministry of Transportation is currently preparing a new tariff scheme by considering two factors, namely the increase in the Regional Minimum Wage (UMR) and the price of fuel oil (BBM).
“We have prepared tariff arrangements based on the increase in UMR prices and the increase in fuel prices, we agree,” said Utomo.
Furthermore, Utomo also invited all applicants to review transportation patterns which have been dominated by motorbikes. Some things that are of concern include safety risks, traffic congestion, and the accumulation of drivers or passengers at a certain point.
“When the application brings together 100 to 300 passengers in one location such as Dukuh Atas Station, traffic becomes uncomfortable. Meanwhile, Matchmaker has not played much of a role in overcoming this,” he said.
Furthermore, Utomo suggested a system that regulates the distribution of pick-up points so as not to trigger traffic jams.
“Can’t the algorithm direct passengers to walk 20-30 meters to a looser point? We want to pay attention to the safety and comfort of transportation,” he said.
