‘£131.4m? NO!’ Brighton reject Chelsea offer for Caicedo—want transfer fee around £100m

Even 80 million pounds (about 1,314 billion won) could not satisfy Brighton (England).

“Brighton have rejected Chelsea’s £80 million bid for Moises Caicedo (22),” David Onstein of The Athletic reported on Monday (Aug. 28).메이저놀이터

Chelsea had previously made bids ranging from £60 million to £70 million, both of which Brighton rejected. They upped the ante on July 27, but again failed to get a positive response.

Brighton are looking at a fee in the neighborhood of what they paid for Declan Rice, 24, who recently moved to Arsenal from West Ham. Rice joined Arsenal in a £105 million deal, making it the highest transfer fee in English history.

Caicedo, on the other hand, strongly wants to join Chelsea. “Chelsea is a big club with history and beauty, I can’t say no to them,” he said in a recent interview. According to various media outlets, Chelsea and Caicedo have already finalized a personal agreement.

All that remains is an agreement between the clubs. Brighton don’t want to let go of their key midfielder and will have to offer more than £100 million to make them open their minds.

Kaysedo is a thorn in the side of Brighton fans. He wanted to move to Arsenal in last winter’s transfer window, and even though the deal was never finalized, he was unprofessional about it, taking to social media to say goodbye to fans and missing team training. The move never happened, and he signed a new contract in March, but he has publicly expressed his desire to join Chelsea again.

Despite the transfer speculation, Caicedo made his debut in a pre-season friendly against Brentford (England) on July 27 as a late substitute.
